Women and New Hollywood

The posts on this page were part of an ongoing series related to Women and New Hollywood. This project began as part of an Irish Research Council postdoctoral research fellowship I undertook at Maynooth University from 2016-2018. The original scope of the postdoc was meant to cover several women, but the more I worked on it, the more I became convinced the Polly Platt alone was a big enough topic. My monograph on Polly Platt is forthcoming from Palgrave Macmillan (2021).

The project culminated in an international conference in May 2018, which I co-organised with Dr Martha Shearer. Martha and I are currently co-editing a book on Women and New Hollywood for Rutgers University Press.
